Flue gas extractor adhesive

Flue gas extractor adhesive is used to seal the joints around the flue gas extractor motor that the gasket does not cover, so that neither smoke escapes nor false air is drawn in. Heat-resistant silicone, fire cement and ceramic adhesive are available for this purpose, and the choice depends on whether the joint must be able to absorb vibrations and be removed again.

Silicone, fire cement or ceramic adhesive

Heat-resistant silicone remains elastic after curing and follows the movement when the flue gas extractor vibrates. It can be cut free when the motor later needs to be removed, and is therefore the recommended choice for the flue gas extractor. Fire cement cures into a solid mass and withstands up to 1,500 degrees, making it best suited for joints that do not need to be separated again. Ceramic adhesive is primarily used to glue fibreglass gasket rope in place and is less suitable around a motor that vibrates.

Adhesive and gasket solve two tasks

The flange between the flue gas extractor and stove is sealed with a flue gas extractor gasket, and the adhesive does not replace it. If the flue gas extractor is replaced, the gasket should therefore also be replaced, while the adhesive is only used on the other joints. If the motor itself also needs to be replaced, it can be found among flue gas extractors. Our delivery time is approx. 2-3 business days if the item is in stock. 

Do you have a store where I can collect my parcel?

No, unfortunately we do not have a physical store that you can visit, and unfortunately it is also not possible to collect your order at the address. The address serves only as a warehouse and office for the webshop.

Can I cancel my purchase?

Yes, you always have a 14-day right of withdrawal when shopping with us. If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal, please contact us by email: info@haveparkreservedele.dk. You are responsible for the return costs unless it is an error on our part.
