Gasket for flue gas extractor motor

Felt or rubber

Gaskets are available in felt and rubber, and the new one must be made of the same material as the old one. Felt gaskets have a fixed diameter, and the Ø130 gasket is 5 mm thick. Rubber gaskets are the versions that cover a range, and they fit if the flange on the flue gas extractor motor is within the measurements. The diameter is read most reliably on the flange itself, because a gasket that has been exposed to heat may have been pressed out of shape. Both materials are also available under felt gasket and rubber gasket.

The flange or motor housing

The gaskets here seal only the flange. Flue gas extractor motors with a multi-part housing also have a silicone gasket adapted to the individual brand, and it is available under flue gas extractor gasket. Cord for the door and sealing around the glass are a completely different type of gasket and are available under gasket cord and fibreglass gasket rope, while all gasket types for the stove are collected under gaskets. If the motor is noisy or runs unevenly, the fault lies in the flue gas extractor itself, and when it needs to be removed anyway, it is a good opportunity to fit a new flange gasket at the same time.
